It started with a single bottle and a diamond wheel.
In 1997, most bottle glass in India ended one of two ways: broken and buried in a landfill, or melted down for industrial recycling. Neither felt right for objects that had held wedding champagne, milestone whisky, or the wine at a first anniversary dinner. Every bottle carries a memory. Very few of them get to keep it.
The Krystal Kraft studio began with a small cutting bench in Vadodara and one guiding idea: the bottle should not be the end of the story, but the beginning of a new one. Over the first years, we developed the finishing techniques \u2014 diamond-wheel cutting, multi-stage edge polishing, hand-glazing \u2014 that would eventually let us turn any donor bottle into a functional, food-safe, retail-ready object.
By the early 2000s, hotels and restaurants had started noticing. What began as a boutique product line for local decor stores became a wholesale operation supplying hospitality groups, event companies, and interior designers across Gujarat. The signature blue Bombay Sapphire tea lights, the amber Chivas serving platters, the transparent Perrier drinking glasses \u2014 these pieces began appearing in guest rooms, on restaurant tables, and inside luxury gift boxes.
Then came the corporate gifting era. Indian companies began looking for gifts with a story: something more considered than logo-printed swag, something that said the giver cared. Upcycled glass bottle art fit perfectly. Krystal Kraft became a quiet supplier to some of India’s largest corporate gifting programs.
By the 2020s, international buyers had discovered us. Today, our pieces ship to buyers in 28+ countries \u2014 hotel groups in the GCC, boutique retailers in Europe, sustainability-focused e-commerce brands in North America, event stylists in Southeast Asia. And still, every single piece begins the same way: with a real donor bottle, a diamond wheel, and a pair of practiced hands in a small studio in Vadodara.

Founded in Vadodara
Krystal Kraft opens as a small cutting studio, initially supplying local decor shops with hand-cut bottle vases and glassware.
Hospitality wholesale
Hotels and restaurants across Gujarat begin sourcing directly. Product range expands to include lighting, planters, and serveware.
Corporate gifting programs
Krystal Kraft becomes a preferred supplier for Indian corporate gifting programs, moving from niche craft to structured B2B wholesale.
Studio expansion
The Vadodara studio doubles in footprint. Artisan team grows to keep pace with hospitality and corporate gifting demand across India.
Bottle Brand collections
Formal launch of the 38-bottle-brand collection framework, from Bombay Sapphire to Old Monk, letting buyers source by the label their customers already recognize.

Raees Ahmed Merchant
Behind the studio’s signature masterpieces \u2014 the truck planters, tricycle vessels, and sculptural centrepieces \u2014 is master artist Raees Ahmed Merchant. Every one of his signed pieces is a single-donor-bottle build, uniquely numbered, and impossible to replicate exactly. His work has anchored Krystal Kraft’s artistic identity for over two decades.

Sohail leads the studio’s wholesale operations, dealer partnerships, and B2B accounts. If you email us, WhatsApp us, or submit an RFQ, Sohail or his team is the person responding. This is a family studio: the person quoting your order is the person overseeing its production.
Farisa Merchant
Our quilling and tatting jewellery collections are handcrafted by Farisa Merchant, using traditional paper quilling and vintage tatting lace techniques. Every earring, jhumka, and pendant is a one-off piece \u2014 an offshoot of the studio’s craft heritage.
The Vadodara studio
Behind every piece is a team of artisans who have been working with recycled glass for years \u2014 many for a decade or more. Cutters, edge polishers, painters, and packagers. Their combined experience is what lets us hold a <0.4% breakage rate across export shipments and a consistent quality bar customers can rely on.
The finishing bench
Every piece leaves the studio only after three stages of edge polishing, hand-inspection for chips or micro-cracks, and a dimensional check against SKU spec. This bench is why our export shipments hold a breakage rate below 0.4% \u2014 quality caught at source, not at the customer.
The dispatch team
